Jupiter, Fla. - Nationally-renowned dementia expert, Teepa Snow, paid a visit to Allegro in Stuart and Jupiter to present a special Alzheimer's and dementia seminar for caregivers and senior advocates. Teepa started the day off at Allegro in Stuart with a session on ‘Why do they do that? Understanding Symptoms and Behaviors in Dementia’. Afterwards she headed over to Allegro in Jupiter for a session on ‘Understanding the Different Dementias: One Size Does Not Fit All’.
Teepa provided essential information on how to maintain a positive and meaningful relationship with loved ones who are experiencing dementia or Alzheimer’s. Attendees enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, a Champaign toast, and beverages in Allegro’s formal dining area while listening to Teepa’s presentation. Attendees walked away with a better understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, as well as some helpful techniques for effective interaction with loved ones affected by this condition.
