Park, N.J. – Allegro Senior Living, a St. Louis-based company that develops and operates senior living communities, continues to expand with the closing of a land purchase and construction commencement in Harrington Park, New Jersey. The 9.2-acre parcel abutting the Oradell Reservoir is located at 200 Old Hook Road, about a 35-minute drive from Manhattan. Allegro, a luxury senior living rental community, will provide seniors with services and amenities to live an “Inspired Life.”
First occupancy at Allegro is expected in the fall of 2020. Allegro anticipates creating 110 full-time jobs once the community is open.
The community will contain 177 units for independent living, assisted living and memory care with a total of 225,765 square feet of luxury resort-style experience and amenities all designed to cater to the needs and desires of the residents. Future residents of Allegro will experience modern, upscale building finishes, active lifestyle programming, and fine dining experiences. The community will represent the latest best practices in programming and design, following up on the success of other Allegro communities. This will be the company’s first community in the state of New Jersey. The community will provide luxury accommodations, including a stadium-style theater, a salon and spa, a saltwater swimming pool, and a penthouse level pub with panoramic reservoir views.
Outdoor activities include gardening, walking trails, an outdoor grilling station, and a putting green. Apartment features include designer lighting and fixtures, custom closets, spacious bathrooms, large windows with abundant natural light, screened in porches and balconies, and more. Penthouse level units will be available, offering larger living space, premium finishes and appliances, and fireplaces.
In addition to an upscale design that feels like a luxury hotel, Allegro offers unique programming and 24-hour staffing that places a priority on empowering its residents to continue living purposeful lives. Inspired living at Allegro encompasses a signature blend of lifestyle, dining, and care programming.
Meyer Design Inc., based out of Ardmore, Pennsylvania, and Directions in Design based out of St. Louis, Missouri, were selected to provide architectural/engineering and interior design services.
Allegro has assembled a premier construction team to bring the development to the market. Wohslen Construction, based out of Lancaster, Pennsylvania has been selected as the General Contractor.
