Senior Living Company Drives Employee Engagement with Employee of the Year Program

Every year, Allegro celebrates outstanding associates through their Employee of the Year program.  To encourage an employee-focused culture, Allegro identifies employees who go above and beyond to improve the lives of residents and improve employee morale. One unique component of this program is that individuals are not made aware of the fact they are a winner until a surprise guest appearance from the leadership team happens in their community, along with the presentation of a check ranging between $500 - $2,500.  

The Employee of the Year winners are nominated by his or her peers and management team. The final winners are selected by a panel of unbiased judges who review the nominations. This marks the eighth consecutive year Allegro has recognized employees who increase morale for their community and provide exceptional service to residents.  Allegro focuses on hiring employees with a caring heart and demeanor.

“Finding employees with a caring heart and compassionate personality is a major requirement when interviewing,” says Cheryl Gray, Vice President of Human Resources. “These characteristics are often leading indicators that we’ve found an individual to fit with Allegro’s culture and values.”
