Customized Lifestyle Experiences Crucial to Resident Satisfaction at Allegro

St. Louis, Mo. – As Allegro expands its portfolio beyond independent living, assisted living, and memory care to include active adult, it is placing emphasis on a unique resident experience and enrichment strategies.

“Experiences should inspire and help residents to live engaged, meaningful, and purpose-filled lives,” says Douglas Schiffer, COO of Allegro Senior Living. “There is no one-size-fits-all activity calendar for each community. Therefore, it’s essential that lifestyle programs evolve to accommodate our residents’ unique physical, social, and spiritual capabilities and interests.”

Part of this investment includes a newly-created position for the Vice President of Lifestyle. Allegro is pleased to welcome Mariola Dosey into this role. Dosey’s role is vital in ensuring top-notch custom programming to enhance the lives of residents. In this role, one of Dosey’s main responsibilities will be to enrich the wide variety of activities and resident experiences offered.

Allegro plans to continue evolving lifestyle programming to align with the needs of today’s seniors. This includes investing in platforms to improve real-time communication between associates and families, events that speak to local market flair and culture, and new technology to assist in the planning and organizing of event calendars and internal resident communication. Allegro residents are experiencing an evolution in programming, and the shift has brought forth opportunities for inspiring and innovative experiences.

Dosey comes to Allegro with a vast depth of experience in working with seniors. After obtaining her master’s degree in gerontology, she focused solely on the aging process. She worked in several healthcare settings, including in-home health care, adult day services, assisted living, and memory care communities. In prior roles, she focused and played an instrumental part in the start-up and development process of senior communities. She is also a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer (CADDCT).

“My mission is to help residents find their purpose and discover life experiences that bring them joy,” says Dosey. “We want each community’s lifestyle program to not only bring joy to residents but to help them find their purpose and contributions within the community and local market.”

In many ways, the lifestyle experiences it offers reflect Allegro’s company values. Experiences are intended to honor and celebrate residents and provide opportunities for them to live in a meaningful way.
